The Church Society was constituted in Delhi in April, 1977 with 11 members who formed the first Managing Committee of the society. The first committee members were:

The main objective of the church society is to build parishes and social service institutions in and around Delhi. Society is also bound to fulfill the specific Government formalities/norms as per the society registration. Under the guidance of the Jacobite Syrian Christian Church, Society is responsible to act in accordance with its own memorandum and articles.
